Back in April, I blogged about the impact of COVID19 on my business.
Last Tuesday, I worked my first proper gig since that blogpost. Here are some photos from that gig.
I was running the encoders for the recording of a promotional video performance of Grisly Faye's upcoming album (premiering on YouTube, July 28th. It'll be great, go check it out) at AluhpaSonics in Edinburgh. As well as recording the concert, I was also running a test livestream ahead of some online digital concerts later this month - watch this space for more information on that!
It feels really good to be back behind a desk again. I didn't realise how much I had missed making events happen - especially art events. It was especially nice to be working with a bunch of very good friends, some of whom I'd not worked with since last year!
My calendar looks to be pretty busy in August. Wow - next month is August. It still feels like April. Looking forward to working on a bunch of digital concerts over the next few weeks.
If we weren't in the midst of a global pandemic, I'd be onsite at EMFCamp right now. Ah well.
The soundtrack to this blogpost is the entire bandcamp of Grisly Faye, the artist mentioned in this blog post. It's good music, check it out.
